Yes, that is what the Bible teaches.
Romans 8:21 Because the creature itself also shall be delivered from the bondage of corruption into the glorious liberty of the children of God (Elohim).
This makes me happy. Many of us have had the pleasure of sharing our lives with a pet. Our pets are most often very close to our hearts. It is a great joy to realize that the other species of this world will have glorious bodies in the eternity.
My wife and I have been enjoying the friendship and companionship of five dogs. They are much like living with children. They are needy like children. They require a lot of maintenance and constant show of affection. Each of them has their individual personalities. When you encourage them, they freely communicate their needs and affection in many clever ways.
We recently lost our Molly, a black Lhasa Apso to death because of cancer of the thyroid. She was twelve and a half, very sweet, assertive, courageous and will be sorely missed. Her separation was surprisingly painful for both my wife and myself. We nursed her along for the better part of a year. No matter how carefully we prepared her favored foods she became skin and bones. We gave her vitamins and minerals which seem to stimulate her appetite but nothing could overcome the damage caused by the cancerous thyroid. She became very weak and had difficulty in controlling her urine, though she tried. I couldn’t take her life from her. She became hard of hearing, lost sight in her left eye but never complained. She died in the early morning before anyone had gotten up while laying on a comfortable double blanket in front of the television in the living room. She had not allowed herself to eat anything that day. I remember her laying on the sidewalk just beyond the first step to our front door. I remember thinking,”It’s good that she is enjoying the warmth of the evening sunlight, and was seeming to enjoy looking at the world around her.” I know all creatures have a built-in joy for life and will hang on to it tightly.
I am moved to tears when I think of her because of our loss and I wish I could have been of more comfort. Romans 8:21 gives me hope of knowing her again in the afterlife. I sought to influence Yahuah (GOD)to allow her to stay longer. I am grateful for his world and all of the wonderful creatures in it. All life is precious and should be respected in our hearts. HalleluYah!
